Product-specific draft

This page is a general starting point tailored to AltG and is not legal advice. It should be reviewed before being treated as final legal terms.

1

Acceptance and scope

These terms apply to altg.reka.cc, the AltG Chrome extension, and related product pages or account connection flows.

Use AltG only if you can agree to these terms.

If you use AltG for an organization, you are responsible for having authority to do so.

Chrome Web Store, browser, operating system, and third-party website rules may also apply.

2

Local-first workflow

AltG is designed to save screenshots, tab links, page content, Markdown notes, and related metadata into locations you choose.

Screenshots and content capture files are written to user-authorized local folders or Obsidian vault paths.

Extension preferences, directory handles, and temporary workflow state are stored in browser-managed extension storage.

The product site does not provide a hosted workspace for your screenshots, notes, or local folder contents.

3

Chrome extension use

The extension uses Chrome permissions and browser APIs to work on the pages, tabs, and folders involved in the actions you trigger.

AltG may read tab URLs, tab titles, page content, viewport information, and screenshot data when needed for capture, metadata, links, or Markdown files.

Some websites, browser pages, protected media, or restricted environments may block screenshots, scripting, or content capture.

You are responsible for using captures, saved links, and extracted content in ways allowed by applicable law and website terms.

4

Optional accounts

Connecting an AltG web account is optional and is used to connect the extension with your account status and session on altg.reka.cc.

The extension may store an account connection token and user profile needed to show account status and verify the session.

Account checks do not include screenshot files, notes, extracted page files, or local folder contents.

You can disconnect the account from the extension settings.

5

User responsibilities

You remain responsible for the material you capture, store, export, open, or organize with AltG.

Keep backups of files that matter to you and verify that selected folders or vault paths are writable.

Do not use AltG to infringe rights, bypass access controls, distribute unlawful content, or interfere with services.

Keep your browser, extension, and account credentials under your control.

6

Changes and availability

AltG may change over time as browser APIs, Chrome Web Store policies, and product needs change.

Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed.

Browser permission prompts, directory handles, extension updates, and website restrictions may affect whether a workflow succeeds.

AltG may update these terms when the product or legal requirements change.

7

Disclaimers and liability limits

AltG is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent allowed by law.

No promise is made that every page can be captured, every file write will succeed, or every third-party site will remain compatible.

To the extent allowed by law, AltG is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where applicable law does not allow that limitation.
