Multi-page screenshot, capture and save tool
AltG
Save what you find on the web as screenshots, links, page content, and Obsidian notes. AltG keeps files in folders you choose, with source details preserved for later.
Web Captures / Travel / Kyoto
2 folder(s) · 3 image(s) · New screenshots save to: AltG Library / Web Captures / Travel / Kyoto
Batch Open Links
Paste saved links, one per line. Links without a protocol open as https://. Batch open is a Pro feature and requires a connected Pro account.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Screenshot progress appears only after pixels are captured, so it is not included in the image. Content capture with screenshots uses the same safe progress. Features marked Pro require a connected Pro account.

Image Operation Root Directory
AltG Library
The image operation root directory stores screenshots as PNG image files from Alt+G, Alt+Shift+G, Alt+P, and Alt+Shift+P.
Window Batch Screenshot PermissionNot granted
Authorize all-sites access from Settings before using Alt+P / Alt+Shift+P window screenshots or Alt+M / Alt+Shift+M content capture with screenshots.
Image Save Path
New screenshots save to: AltG Library / Web Captures / Travel / Kyoto
Enter the PNG image file save path inside the image operation root directory. Leave empty to save at the root. Saving settings creates missing folders, and AltG checks the save path when you open Images or Settings so unavailable paths can be repaired.
Screenshot filenames without time are overwritten by same-name files; filenames with time keep history.
Delete Confirmation
Content Capture
Content Capture Work Directory
Notes Vault
Choose the root directory where web capture content is saved as Markdown files from Alt+M or Alt+Shift+M. It can be an Obsidian vault directory or an LLM Wiki directory.
Content Capture Save Path
New files save to: Notes Vault / Web Clips / Travel / Kyoto
Enter the Markdown file save path inside the content capture work directory. Leave empty to save at the work directory root. Saving settings creates missing folders; content saves ask you to reconfigure unavailable paths. Each page gets its own folder, with the Markdown file and screenshot saved together.
Content capture filenames without time are overwritten by same-name files; filenames with time keep history.

Screenshots
Save the page before it disappears
Capture the visible area and the current full page for free. Progress appears after screenshot pixels are captured, so the progress dialog is not included in the image. Pro unlocks the same safe progress for all-tab visible and full-page screenshots.
Links
Keep links and notes together
Save all tab URLs and batch open link lists with Pro. Paste links, upload TXT files, auto-complete https://, and clip pages into Obsidian with source context and safe progress when screenshots are attached.
Folders
Organize in your own directories
Choose an image operation root directory, set the image save path, and select an Obsidian vault and save path for notes.
A simple flow for multi-page capture
AltG is built for multi-page screenshot work where screenshots, links, page content, notes, and source trails need to stay together.
Choose where files live
Grant directory permission for the image operation root directory and Obsidian vault permission for the vault path you use.
Save pages while browsing
Capture screenshots, save current pages to Obsidian, or use Pro to save all tab URLs and process every tab in the current window. Screenshot and screenshot-attached content progress opens after pixel capture.
Return to the material later
Use the image list, folder list, breadcrumbs, parent folder navigation, large preview, image information, batch delete, delete confirmation, and XLSX export actions.
One-time Pro purchase, lifetime batch capabilities
Free is for saving the current page you are reading and the core local workflow. Pro is for screenshot, content capture, and Obsidian save workflows across every tab in the current window.

You decide where files live
AltG does not create a hosted workspace for your screenshots or notes. The Chrome extension writes to browser storage, folders, and vault locations you authorize, and reports when a work directory invalid state needs attention.
Install for ChromeScreenshots save through File System Access
Obsidian clips save in your selected vault path
PNG metadata stores source URL, page title, capture mode, viewport, image size, and saved time
Preferences such as display language and delete confirmation stay in browser storage
