Image Operation Root Directory
AltG Library
The image operation root directory stores screenshots as PNG image files from Alt+G, Alt+Shift+G, Alt+P, and Alt+Shift+P.
Window Batch Screenshot PermissionNot granted
Authorize all-sites access from Settings before using Alt+P / Alt+Shift+P window screenshots or Alt+M / Alt+Shift+M content capture with screenshots.
Image Save Path
New screenshots save to: AltG Library / Web Captures / Travel / Kyoto
Enter the PNG image file save path inside the image operation root directory. Leave empty to save at the root. Saving settings creates missing folders, and AltG checks the save path when you open Images or Settings so unavailable paths can be repaired.
Screenshot filenames without time are overwritten by same-name files; filenames with time keep history.

Content Capture
Content Capture Work Directory
Notes Vault
Choose the root directory where web capture content is saved as Markdown files from Alt+M or Alt+Shift+M. It can be an Obsidian vault directory or an LLM Wiki directory.
Content Capture Save Path
New files save to: Notes Vault / Web Clips / Travel / Kyoto
Enter the Markdown file save path inside the content capture work directory. Leave empty to save at the work directory root. Saving settings creates missing folders; content saves ask you to reconfigure unavailable paths. Each page gets its own folder, with the Markdown file and screenshot saved together.

Capture
Save pages as images
This group covers capture visible area and current full page on the current page for free; Pro adds visible screenshots and full-page screenshots for all tabs in the current window. Alt+Shift+G, Alt+P, and Alt+Shift+P show progress only after screenshot pixels are captured, keeping the progress dialog out of saved images.
Links
Keep tab links for later
This group covers saving all tab URLs from the current window with Pro, pasting link lists for batch opening, importing TXT files, and adding https:// automatically when a link has no protocol.
Content / Obsidian
Save page content as notes and files
This group covers saving the current page to Obsidian, saving all current window tabs to Obsidian with Pro, the ability to extract page content, choosing the vault save path, and using the include a screenshot when saving content capture files option to attach a visible-area or full-page screenshot. Alt+M and Alt+Shift+M use safe post-capture progress when screenshot attachment is enabled. When screenshot attachment is enabled, each page gets a page folder with the Markdown file and screenshot together; when disabled, Markdown saves directly to the vault path.
Folders
Sort captures locally
This group includes the image operation root directory, image save path, missing folders created when settings are saved, unavailable save path reconfiguration prompts, current screenshot save target, image list pagination, folder list breadcrumbs, parent folder navigation, new folder, rename folder, delete folder, refresh directory, image selection, batch delete, delete confirmation, large preview, zoom in, zoom out, reset zoom, and image information.
Source trail
Keep source details with files
This group keeps PNG metadata with source URL, page title, capture mode, viewport, image size, and saved time for every screenshot; selected screenshots can be exported to XLSX.
Export and settings
Export and control output
This group includes XLSX export, screenshot and content capture filenames include time controls, same-name files overwrite or history behavior, screenshot watermark and content capture screenshot watermark settings for template variables, live preview, position, font size, font weight, text align, margins, inner padding, text color, stroke, opacity, and background block, plus display language, delete confirmation, directory permission, work directory invalid handling, Obsidian vault permission, read-only build info, and Chrome extension updates.

A simple flow for multi-page capture
AltG is built for multi-page screenshot work where screenshots, links, page content, notes, and source trails need to stay together.
