Features

Multi-page screenshot, Markdown, and link features

AltG focuses on three capture and save workflows: batch web screenshots, web pages to Markdown / Obsidian, and batch saving or opening links. Local file management, source trails, export, and settings support those workflows.

Screenshots

Batch screenshots and full-page captures

Capture the visible area or current full page on the active tab for free. Screenshot watermark settings cover template, position, font, opacity, stroke, and background for saved screenshots. Free or signed-out screenshots include the AltG technical support watermark. Pro adds visible screenshots and full-page screenshots for all tabs in the current window, with progress shown after screenshot pixels are captured so the dialog stays out of saved images, and can remove the AltG technical support watermark after payment.

Links

Save and reopen link groups

Free can save all tab URLs from the current window, paste link lists for batch opening, import TXT files, and let AltG add https:// automatically when a link has no protocol.

Markdown / Obsidian

Save pages as Markdown notes

Save current page content to local files / Obsidian / LLM Wiki, or use Pro to save all current window tabs to Obsidian and local files. AltG can extract page content, use the vault save path, and include a screenshot when saving content capture files; choose capture visible area or capture full page, save a page folder with the Markdown file and screenshot together, or turn screenshots off so Markdown saves directly to the vault path.

Files

Manage saved material locally

Set the image operation root directory and image save path, repair unavailable save paths, and browse with the image list, pagination, folder list, breadcrumbs, and parent folder navigation. You can create a new folder, rename folder, delete folder, refresh directory, select images, batch delete with delete confirmation, open a large preview, zoom in, zoom out, reset zoom, and review image information.

Source trail

Keep sources attached to files

PNG metadata keeps the source URL, page title, capture mode, viewport, image size, and saved time with each screenshot. Export selected records to XLSX when you need a review sheet or handoff file.

Export / Settings

Control naming, watermarks, and permissions

XLSX export, screenshot and content capture filenames include time, and same-name files can overwrite or keep history. Screenshot watermark and content capture screenshot watermark settings cover template variables, live preview, position, font size, font weight, text align, margins, inner padding, text color, stroke, opacity, and background block; display language, directory permission, work directory invalid handling, Obsidian vault permission, read-only build info, and Chrome extension updates stay visible in settings.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Screenshot progress appears only after pixels are captured, so it is not included in the image. Content capture with screenshots uses the same safe progress. Features marked Pro require a connected Pro account.
